Ervin M. Peterson
1906 - 1993 Ervin M. Peterson, age 87, died May 11, 1993, in Murray, Utah. Born in Chester, Sanpete County, Utah, January 12, 1906, to _____ Peterson and Lucina Allred Peterson. He attended Snow College in Ephraim and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day, holding the office of High Priest. He sold insurance for Business Men's Assurance Company of Kansas City for sixty years and was manager of the Company's Salt Lake branch office when its territory covered Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. He was an instrutor for the Life Under- writing Training Council and qualified as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table in 1951. He sang with the Tabernacle Choir for 19 years and later with the Jay Welch Chorale. He was Charter President of the Sugarhouse Lions Club. He married Grace Bunker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 9, 1929. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Caryl Hepworth, Brigham City: Douglas E. and Mark B. Peterson, Salt Lake City; twelve grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Peterson, San Diego, Calif. Preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He truly loved mankind as he loved life and lived it to the fullest. His admonition, "Keep Smilin", brightened the lives of many as did his evercheerful countenance. We love him and will never forget him. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14th, 12 Noon, in the Murray 24th Ward, 755 East Three Fountains Drive. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Thursady evening, 7-8 p.m., and at the Ward on Friday, one hour prior to the services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn. |
