HELEN PALMER BUNKER

PROVO-Helen Palmer Bunker, 67, died on July 5, 1982 in Provo, Utah of cancer. Born on 
May 30, 1915 in Weston, Idaho to William Gibson and Annie Gassman Painter. Married 
Robert E. Bunker on August 9, 1940 in the Logan Temple. Attended Utah State Agri-
cultural College, BYU, and the Sherwood School of Music in Chicago, Illinois. Long time 
accomplished, devoted musician and music teacher. Active member, LDS Church, served in 
Ward and Stake organizations.
Survivors: Husband, Provo; two sons and two daughters, Robert P. Bunker, Alpine, Utah; 
Kent E. Bunker, Stillwater, Oklahoma; Mrs. Michael R. (Mary Ann) Jackson, Fort Collins, 
Colorado; Mrs. Charles W. (Sharee) Sorenson, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren; three 
brothers and two sisters, Marlowe Palmer, Sunset, Utah; Bill Painter, St. George, Utah; 
Clyde Palmer, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Edna Richards, Preston, Idaho; LaPriel Barraclough 
Sandy, Utah. 
Funeral services, Thursday, 12 noon, Oak Hills Second Ward LDS Chapel, 1600 North 900 
East, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center, Wednesday, 
6-8 p.m. or at the Ward Chapel on Thursday prior to services. Interment, Provo City 
Cemetery.
