JOSEPH ALLEN BAKER
November 29, 1906 to January 25, 1992

Joseph Allen Baker, age 85, died January 25, 1992 in Salt Lake City. Born in Provo, 
Utah, November 29, 1906, to Joseph Hyrum Baker and Beatrice Cook Baker. Attended 
schools in Provo, and graduated from the LDS High School and LDS Business College 
in Salt Lake City. Graduate of the American Institute of Banking. Was president of 
the Utah Mortgage Bankers Association. 
Retired as Vice President of the Continental Bank and Trust, and was a charter member 
of Willow Creek Country Club. Active member of the Yalecrest 2nd Ward and held the 
office of a High Priest. Married Martha Roberts, February 7, 1929. She died December 3, 
1953. Married Dorothy Bunker Hansen, July 25, 1955. 
Survived by his wife, and the following children; Joanne B. Dail, Holladay; Jetta 
Alayne Hansen, El Sobrante, Calif; Joseph Michael Hansen, Elk Grove, Calif,; Silvia 
Joelle Hamilton, Misissauga, Ontario; William B. Hansen, Clemmons, N.C.; 18 grand-
children and six great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine Sears, Centerfield, Ut. and aa
brother Linmore Baker, Glenwood, Ut. Preceded in death by a son, Joseph Allen Baker, Jr.
Funeral services Monday at 12 Noon at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Chapel, 2350 East 1300
South, where friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to 
services. Interment the following day Tuesday, 12:00 Noon, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
