MARVIN BERKELEY DAY
March 20, 1947 to January 30, 1995
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Marvin Berkeley Day, 
47, passed away Jan. 30, 1995 at his home after a brief, but courageous struggle with 
cancer. Born March 20, 1947, Draper, Utah to Darrell S. Day and Eddis Bunker Day. 
Married Roylene Thomas, April 3, 1969, Salt Lake City, Utah. Marvin Attended the 
College of Southern Utah and Weber State. He worked thirty years for Wonder Bread/
Hostess Cake and was a supervisor. He excelled in sports and was regardby many as a 
"natural" athlete. He played baseball for CSU, and was an All-State left fielder for 
Skyline High School. He loved to golf and was also a talented craftsman. He was a 
guiet man of dignity. He was honest, hardworking, and believed in traditional values. 
He will be remembered for his typical "Day" sense of humor. He was a member of the 
LDS Church.
Survived by wife; children, Jason (DeeDee); Ashlie (Rich) Paul; Berkeley (serving in 
the Brazil, Fortaleza Mission); Martin; Laura; niece, Joely; grandson, Darrell; mother, 
all of Salt Lake; brother, Robert D. (Kathleen) Day, Draper; sister, Phyllis (Reid) 
Griffiths, Salt Lake and Elizabeth (Peter) Gloeckner, Sandy. Preceded in death by 
father.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1995, 12 noon, at the Alta View 3rd 
Ward, 1850 East 8600 South. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal 
Blvd. (7600 South), Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995 from 6-8 p.m. and at the church the day of 
the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment; Salt Lake City Cemetery.
